Bloomsburg Field Hockey downs Catawba
BLOOMSBURG- Bloomsburg University's Jamie Vanartsdalen (Philadelphia/Lower Moreland) scored two goals and Kristi Ney (Dauphin/Central Dauphin East) had three assists to lead the Huskies to a 3-0 victory over Catawba College on Sunday.
With the victory the Huskies end the regular season with a mark of 16-3.
In the first half Vanartsdalen notched the game's first goal at the 4:23 mark. Ashley Heckard (Millerstown/Greenwood) then added a goal at just over a minute later to make it a 2-0 game. Vanartsdalen then scored the final Bloomsburg goal 28:32 left into the game.
In goal, the Huskies' Tracey Hudak (Sweet Valley/Lake-Lehman) stopped three shots and Allison Ziants
(Winfield /Selinsgrove Area) had two saves.
The Huskies will host IUP on Tuesday in the PSAC semifinals starting at 2:30 p.m.
